He has dreamed of broadcasting professionally ever since he first put stylus to vinyl. As a child, he was able to convince his first grade teacher to play Cheech and Chong records to the entire class. Along with a brief stint spinning records at Loyola Academy, Steven has played drums in several bands, eventually settling for attending law school at DePaul University, and becoming an attorney. An avid fan of the blues, rock and roll, jazz, and progressive rock, Steven enjoys listening to The Beatles, UFO, Selwyn Birchwood, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, King Crimson, Herbie Hancock, The Rolling Stones, Blue Cheer, Al Di Meola, Ten Years After, Nazareth, Robyn Hitchcock, The Chris Greene Quartet, Blue Öyster Cult, Rush, Shemekia Copeland, The Markese-Fumo Express, and Flea, among many others.
