Marites Velasquez collects and spins vinyl from a wide variety of genres and eras, particularly music that features women and people of color. She is a proud Filipino American, born and raised in Las Vegas, and has been bassist and singer for Chicago post-punk band Ovef Ow since 2015. Marites is a longtime volunteer for CHIRP Radio, where she served as Outreach Director for several years, and currently DJs at events or on the air for special occasions.
