I’ve been a Radio DJ since I was 18, when I went to the Midwestern School of Broadcasting, then hopped a train to KICX, McCook, Nebraska. After a dozen stations and Columbia College, eventually I found my way back to Chicago and worked for CBS Radio for 28 years. One of the things I learned on my journey was how radio could unite a community and bring people together. Commercial Radio has changed. Stations are now just voice tracking and servers on a shelf. But the spirit of live, community based Radio still lives on with Chirp. I’m proud to be a part of it and volunteer with these truly talented folks.
