Originally from Iowa, Alex has lived in Chicago since 2009, and has been a CHIRP volunteer for over a decade. As a designer, he has a love for bright colors, bold patterns, funky typography, hand-painted signs, and mid-century aesthetics. In his free time, you can find him making art, watching movies, attending concerts, singing karaoke, trying new restaurants, and exploring the city. You can listen to Alex's show on CHIRP every Thursday afternoon, 3-6pm, where you'll hear a wide variety of genres and artists. He has an especially strong love of funk, soul, disco, and anything with a good groove.
